Just a note to let everyone know that my computer has a major virus.  I will not be posting much until I get this taken care of.  I may just have to invest in another computer.  Miss every one.  This really sucks, as my grandchildren tell me.

This is Jackson's quilt.  He just turned 18 and is the oldest of the grandchildren.  One of the hardest to choose fabric that I really liked.

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

My grandson Jesse(15), his quilt done in a simple block.  Wanted to make each a little different pattern. Jesse says it is very warm and likes to wrap up in it while watching TV.

This is a quilt I made for my 16 year old grandson, Ocean.  Thought the colors were perfect to fit his name. The back fabric was wave looking.  His middle name is Nalu(which means wave in Hawaiian). This was one of my favorite so far, guess I just liked the pretty blues.

I don't know where the time has gone.  Have been so busy with the grandchildren and just getting on with life that I have had little time to even post.  We are planning a trip to my one of my favorite places, as you can see above.  Waikiki is always so relaxing.  Trip is not until October but with the way time goes so quickly it will be fall before we know it.  Hope everyone is having a fabulouse summer.  Aloha for now.  Have a great weekend.

Tuesday, July 1, 2014

I have 5 grandchildren.  I made this quilt for my only granddaughter, Michaela.  A bit of a french theme, and kind of fits her.  I had the quilting done by a professional, I am not overly fond of doing the quilting part.

Looking back on our trip to Egypt.  I wonder how things are going for the tour industry with all the unrest.  Our trip was so special, feel so lucky to have gone when things were on the safer side.

Newest tote.  I decided to use some heavy canvas, but wanted a little something to dress it up and make it sing.  We are not using any plastic or paper when shopping, so I want something fun.

Thursday, June 19, 2014

This is the Irish Fish & Chips.  Truly wonderful, served over Smashed peas, yes peas.  I feasted on this in Dublin, a very lively Pub.  Yes, I ate the peas.

Thursday, June 12, 2014

This was taken in Dublin, Ireland on my way to the hotel.  What a nice greeting.

Saturday, June 7, 2014

This is a jacket made with my cream and black stash.  A work in progress, just need to sew the binding around the edges and it will be finished.  I am realizing that this is very heavy, so I will not be wearing it as often as I thought.  Was a fun projects.

Thursday, June 5, 2014

I took this photo traveling through the Baltics several years ago.  Can't remember what church but I found it interesting with the skull and bones.  Just look at that gold.

Today is a special day for Ray and I and all our family.  It is the Graduation from high school for our oldest grandchild, Jackson.  We are proud and very excited for him and his Mom and Dad.  WooHoo!  Off the the graduation.

Jackson at 18 months old.

Another piece of fabric I printed.  Small so I will add some depth and make a coin purse.  Needs a little gold or some sparkle.  Love the french theme.  Ready to do some serious sewing today, if I don't get caught up going through my stash to find the right piece of fabric that inspires me.  Have a fun weekend.

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Printed this fabric and made into a small zipper purse for a child.  A little of this and a little of that. Fun project and really simple and fast.  Well it is already the middle of the week and nearing the end of the month.  I just don't know where the time goes.

Friday, May 23, 2014

This is a skateboard deck I covered in fabric for a Christmas gift.  Dead of the Dead- meets Paris.  I used my stash of fabrics.  I have another guitar started, Hawaiian fabrics, even some bark cloth from Hawaii.  My week end is going to to full with Birthday party for the 50 year old(she has been celebrating all week, say she only turns 50 once).  Off to the Mushroom festival on Sunday.  Enjoy your week end.

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

Years ago when my mom was alive and doing ceramics she convinced me to do a carousel theme.  This is just one of the horses I completed.  It was fun and I still remember the fun times we had painting the many items.  She was so talented in every aspect.  I do miss her terribly.

I took this picture from the tower in Venice.  Love all the tile roofs and muted colors of the buildings.  I may just need to return to Italy, not necessarily Venice.

Thursday, May 15, 2014

Added another Marilyn tote to my collection.  Have about ten more that I can do.  I finished the french theme tote and will be making another one of them.  I just love to sew.

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

We are expecting 88 degrees today.  Hot for our coastal town in California.  I have a collection on suns that are hung on a wall of the front porch.  Most came from Mexico.  I Love the sun and this just makes me smile.  Have a wonderful week, I know I will.

Monday, May 12, 2014

I made this fabric into a small zipper bag.  Just loved the look on Audrey's face.  Another classic movie that I love.  Have a great week.

Sunday, May 11, 2014

Newest tote bag.  I found this wonderful French fabric that is canvas weight, I lined it and will be putting handles on when I decide what kind I want.  I love the  design and just could not buy the fabric.  It was very pricey, but I just had to have it.

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Linen embroidered guest towel I made for a small craft fair.  I like working with linen.  I know it wrinkles but it is so classy.  I have made several linen blouses.  I like the feel and comfort.

Tuesday, May 6, 2014

Fabric book I made for grandson.  The fabric in the back was his quilt to go with his book.

Sunday, May 4, 2014

Marilyn goes shopping.  Another shopping bag to carry in the car. We pay .25 per bag if we don't bring our own.  California no longer gives out plastic or paper.  So, I have many bags and I make them for the girls too.  This is another fabric I found at a craft faire.  The heavy ticking is perfect for handling a load of grocery items.

Friday, May 2, 2014

Shopping bag for the super market.  I bring my own bags for shopping so I decided it should be fun.  Found this fabric at a quilt fair.  It is large so I can put lots of goodies inside.  Is there anybody classier than Audrey Hepburn?  I don't think so.  Off to have some fun in the sun.  Week end is awaiting.

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

This was made along with the quilt for my friends granddaughter.  I really enjoy machine embroidery.  Oh I failed to mention that the theme for the baby shower was French.

Tuesday, April 29, 2014

Above is a small craft faire my friend and I participated in last year.  The shoulder purse, I printed and made into something I can carry my STUFF, hands free.  Wish we had more fairs around here to use as a way of getting rid of my stash of items I make.

Sunday, April 27, 2014

This is the rabbit from the Alice in Wonderland Series of machine embroidery.  I did the Queen of Hearts.  Next is Alice.  Fun to do.  Now I still need to decide How I am going to use them.

Friday, April 25, 2014

One of several skirts that I made for the neighbors granddaughter.  It was fun choosing the fabrics and just doing my own thing, all cotton fabric.  All the fabric I used was from my stash of many odds and ends.

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Our Farmer's Market is in full swing.  Saturday mornings on the westside of town local growers bring in their fresh vegies, fruit, canned goods, fresh baked bread and scones.  While shopping around you can listen to some music.  We have some of the best strawberries grown a short distance from Santa Cruz.  Yum

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

This is a quilt I made for my dear friend Kathleen's baby granddaughter  born back in 2011.  It was made with very soft flannel and I embroidered Winnie the Pooh characters on some of the blocks.

Monday, April 21, 2014

I printed this and put together another should purse.  Love to shop hands free.  Big enough to carry my essentials.  I have my regular purse in the trunk of the car and use this for my shopping.

Thursday, April 17, 2014

My beautiful Spring orchid.  Such a joy to see in full bloom.

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

This was taken on our Baltic tour.  Love the windows and all the flags.  Wish I could remember exactly where we were.  I think it may be Hungry.

Friday, April 11, 2014

A painting I did on a canvas.  I felt it needed a little dimension so I added the braids on the hair and a button flower.  Just a little fun.  Have a great week end everyone.

Thursday, April 10, 2014

This is another fabric I printed and made into a shoulder bag.  The fabric is a light weight canvas.

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Printed this fabric, then decided to turn it into something useful.  Should bag leaves me hands free to shop.  Carries my cell phone, keys, credit cards and money.

Monday, April 7, 2014

I did this guitar for my granddaughter.  It is decoupaged with fabric a little Day of the Dead meets Hawaii.

Friday, April 4, 2014

Have decided to make this into a tote.  The bird was appliqued onto the french fabric.  The black is a napkin, the cream with squares is fabric I dug out that was purchased about 15 years ago.  I am a hoarder of fabric.  Love working with creams and blacks.

Taken while traveling from Montreal to New York. Just thought this was really interesting.  My husband added a little bit of reality to the scene.

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

This was taken while traveling from Dublin to Cork, Ireland.  A perfect day in April last year, traveling with my daughter.
