New fabric I found at my local Fabric shop.  I love the French print.  Another tote almost complete.

Beach tote made from canvas with a flip flop applique.  Large enough to put in some essentials for the beach.  Hoping to have a little more sun by the weekend.

This is one of my favorite places to walk in Italy.  Early in the morning before all the travelers and people getting off the large ships arrive.  Messina is also one of the very best places to get gelato.  I had my first taste of Mandarin Peach in a gelato shop. Little sections of beach all along the walking sidewalk.  Wonderful memories one of our visits to Italy.

Looking back as some of our travel pictures.  Guess I'm hoping to do some more traveling in the near future.  This picture was taken in Quebec, Canada.  I took a lot of pictures of windows and doors.  I especially like the hanging plants.  This was taken on our Fall Foliage trip in October.

One of my favorite photos of the beautiful windows and doors in Italy.  I am longing for a trip back to this little village along the coast.  I just might make this photo into a piece of fabric and put it on a tote bag.

Small zipper tote.  Just a fun way to show off Marilyn.  Little pit of cherries for the lining.

This is the tote I made from the canvas printed on fabric.  The lining is the same color as the green in the background in the print.  Fun little project and so simple. Sun is shinning and it looks amazing outside.  Enjoy your day.

I painted this picture in 2011.  I finally decided I needed to do something with the painting.  I took the painting and put onto a canvas type fabric.  I sewed it onto black and cream ticking and will make it into a tote bag.  I am now out to enjoy the sunshine and take some pictures.  I am getting an early start on my weekend.  Have some fun.

Have the borders around the jelly roll quilt top that I did a couple of week ago.  I finally found the fabric that I thought worked.  Ready to now put it together.  I just may do several more of these to give as gifts.  Quickest quilt top I have ever made.

This is my grandson, Sean taking his first ride on the104 year old Looff Carousel.  It was placed in service in August 1911 at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.  It is really beautiful.  I remember riding this when I a child and it is so amazing to have my grandchildren still riding on these horses.
It was a beautiful day to take a walk along the boardwalk and enjoy all the smells I remember as a child.  Candy, popcorn, hot dogs, peanuts, cotton candy and all the new foods.  It ever in the Monterey Bay area stop by and see the  Santa Cruz amusement--it's free.

I did this last week was finding myself a little bored and needed to do something creative.  Still have to add the borders and quilt.  This is a jelly roll 1600.  Very easy to do and in less than 2 hours for this part.  I used batik fabric and will try to find a border that will make it a little more interesting. Have a great week end.

Trying to decide what to do with these Hummels that I machine embroidered.  I have a few more.  Maybe pillows?

My orchids and lilies are in full bloom.  Enjoying the early spring here in California.  We've been waiting for rain all day and still no showers.  We need the rain, water restrictions are so tight.  I am just thankful that some of my yard is surviving with little or no water.

Queen Bee.  Machine embroidered on another of my linen towels.  The nice thing about linen is that the more it is washed the softer it becomes.  They look nice in a bathroom as a guest towel.  I have larger ones for dishtowels, no lint when drying glasses.

I love to machine embroider on Linen.  This linen guest towel
was done for a friend.  I purchased a dozen of these towels.
This is just one of many I hope to embroider.  Happy Saturday.

Two more placemats to add
to the other two.  Just need
to decide on how I am going
to finish the edges.

I made this simple little shoulder bag out of some scrappy black velvet.  Added a little fringe and is perfect to carry keys, phone, lipstick, credit cards and even money.

We are having some pretty nice weather here in Santa Cruz.  My grandson Sean has a talent for music, especially when he hears the Ice Cream Truck.  19 months old and clearly on a mission.

I made this cute tote for my best friend for her birthday present to go in.  I have pretty much
stopped using paper to wrap and try to find another way to present gifts  This was
fun and easy to make.

I am hoping that a few of the people that check out my blog will take
the time to see my daughter's blog listed in my talented artist link at the bottom.
Michellesewsbytheseashore.  She is getting children and teens interested
in sewing.  Shout out to her, I know she will appreciate comments.
Working on a few placemats.  Fancy feathers, a combination of machine embroidery and applique.   The fabric is double sided quilted.

I am back.  I have finally got tings together after 8 months.  Just missed seeing what everyone has been doing.  Lost all of my favorites and now trying to reconnect.
